Alstonville residents are invited to have their say on the strategic planning of their community with Ballina Shire Council dropping postcards into every residential letterbox calling on locals to participate.

Taking around 12 months to complete, the Alstonville Strategic Plan will be prepared using community feedback to identify opportunities, values and actions to guide the development of Alstonville to the year 2036.

To share your views or participate in the project, please visit www.ballina.nsw.gov.au and follow the link to the Alstonville 2036 project to complete a survey. Feedback can also be provided by emailing alstonville2036@ballina.nsw.gov.au, writing to Council or telephoning Council’s Strategic and Community Facilities Group on 6686 1284.

Council staff will be in Alstonville to talk about the project on Thursday 30 June, Friday 1 July and Saturday 2 July between 10am and 12 noon at Andrew Freeborn Park in the main street.

A separate strategic plan will be prepared for Wollongbar with the associated community engagement commencing later this year.
